"Why Does Rebecca Look Sad?"

Rebecca appears to be concerned after hearing the news of her place in the semi-finals? The teary eyed singer was captured leaving the studio looking very sad. Perhaps, she's finally realizing her dream is coming true and she's overwhelmed with emotions. It's going to be an exciting 2 weeks as the competition winds down to the finals.

"Model Singer"

Rebecca is truly blessed. Looks of a model, voice like the Queen of Soul Miss Aretha Franklin and a smashing personality. At this point, the World is her oyster. Not sure if this photo was shot before her Xfactor fame or during the show. However, either way, she looks amazingly stunning per usual.

"Rebecca Earns Her Place in the Semi-Finals"

Rebecca Ferguson has come along way since her painfully shy audition, which earned her a place in the boot camp stage of the competition. Of course, from there she moved on to the judges' house, where she impressed Cherly Cole and Willi-i-am ultimately earning a position on the live show. Over the past 8 weeks, she gained back her confidence, and for her efforts, she earned a spot in the semi-finals. Standing nervously wondering her fate, her name was the first to be called. Of course, she looked stunned and pleasantly surprised. I predicted when she first auditioned, she had a shot at the prize and as she sails through every phase of the competition, she may just make my prediction a reality and become the "Winner" for the 2010 XFactor Season.

"Rebecca's Supportive Family"

XFactor Star Rebecca Ferguson's Family Reveal Her Singing Highs and Lows Before XFactor Fame.

by Tina Miles, Liverpool Echo, 11/26/10
Tomorrow: The stars backing Rebecca’s bid for X Factor glory
LIVERPOOL’S Rebecca Ferguson oozed star quality from the moment she hit the first note on Simon Cowell'sX Factor.
The gorgeous singer has made realistic plans to forge a hit music career so she can afford a better life for her children Lillie May, five, and Karl, four.
But today her family revealed the highs and lows the single mum endured before she was plucked from obscurity.
They recalled how the once bubbly girl had lost her confidence in her soulful voice but was determined to make her third – and final – bid for X Factor glory.
Mum Anne Jameson, 52, said: “She thought it was her last chance. She was deciding whether to go to the races or go to the X Factor auditions. She wanted to try one last time.
“All her life she wanted to be a singer. She was a lively child, I didn’t know where this timid girl with her slumped shoulders came from.”
Her family reckon her painful shyness – seen by millions of TV viewers in the early stages of the competition – came after becoming a teen mum.
Rebecca, 24, thought she had blown her chances of becoming a professional singer when she became pregnant at 17.
She had met bricklayer Karl Dures, 25, – the father of her children – on holiday in Tenerife in 2003, when she was 17 and he was 18.
She auditioned for The X Factor in 2004 but didn’t get past the first round. That year the couple had daughter Lillie-May together.
When their son Karl Jnr was born, she applied to be on the show again but was overcome by nerves at having to sing in front of thousands of people.
The couple split more than two years ago but Rebecca has maintained a close friendship with Karl.
Today her family told how Rebecca’s singing dreams got sidetracked so she could study to become a better role model for her children.
Anne said: “She was at that age when all her friends were going out and having their friends round but Rebecca couldn’t do that because she was a mum.”
Brother Adam Shaffi, 30, said: “As soon as you have a baby your whole life changes.
“All Rebecca’s focus and energy went on bringing up Lillie and Karl.
“She had to grow up quickly, she didn’t have a choice. It was a blessing in disguise, those kids are the best thing that has happened to her.
“She had a family to support so she went back to college for something to fall back on.”
Rebecca, from Anfield, studied to be a legal secretary at Bootle’s Hugh Baird college.
Her brothers said their caring sister decided on a career as a human rights lawyer as a fall-back but still attended auditions and open mic nights in Liverpool.
Brother Sam Ferguson, 21, said: “She went to America to audition for P Diddy’s Starmaker. She stayed in scabby hotels in the middle of Queens.
“She’s one of those girls that wants to help others. If she saw homeless people in the street she’d stop and give them £10.
“She’s just a normal girl, she likes to go for a nice meal or go to Heebie Jeebies. She loves taking the kids to indoor kids play centres and parks.
“She loves coming home to Liverpool. She loves being at home with the kids and being Becky.”
They said Rebecca was “over the moon” when she gave her music career one last shot and made it through to this year’s X Factor “boot camp” stages.
Anne said: “We all went to Manchester with her. She was terrified to audition for Simon Cowell.
“When she auditioned people were actually crying in the audience. We were absolutely chuffed. It’s been a rollercoaster.”
