"Post Audition Interview"

Rebecca is such a sweet, demure and charming young lady. In some ways, her vulnerability is what makes her so appealing. She's very humble, gracious, appreciative, classy and it "SHOWS." No over the top nonsense and gimmicks for this little powerhouse, just good old fashion talent. Rebecca brings a special quality to the show, which is so refreshing in this day and age. Especially, for her age group and demographics. Not to say, there aren't many young great artist out there. However, Rebecca just happens to be a very "SPECIAL AND RARE TALENT", which only comes along once in a lifetime. England has always presented the World with amazing talent and it looks like Liverpool like the Beatles has another "SUPERSTAR" on their hands.

On A Side Note:
I have always said, "Talent is not definable only recognizable." So with that said, Miss Rebecca Ferguson fits the bill 1 million percent...

"The Ultimate Soul Singer"

I figure it's only appropriate to give credit where credit is due. Hence, the idea I wanted to include this video of Sam Cooke's version of "Change is Gonna Come." Now I can never, ever, ever say there's an Artist on this Earth whom can sing this song like the ole' mighty Sam Cooke. However, I must admit, Rebecca Ferguson has touched my heart in the same way. I really love here phrasing. She is truly a classic soul singer and I hope good ole' soul music will be the songs she will perform in the weeks to come. Sam Cooke isn't here with us to tell her how incredible she truly is. However, he has plenty of fans whom will say she truly did the song justice. I sure hope Amy Winehouse gets her act together sooner than later because it looks like lil' Miss Ferguson may grab the Motown torch and run with it. Not that there isn't room for both of them as I would love to hear a duet. However, considering Amy's circumstances, my wish is questionable....

On A Side Note: I've listened to Rebecca's version countless times since this posting and I can't believe I'm saying this because "Change is Gonna Come" is my favorite, favorite song. I believe Miss Rebecca Ferguson sings this song even better than Mr. Sam Cooke himself. Every time I've watched this woman sing this song, I've cried. She has a way of ripping your heart out. Its so wonderful Miss Ferguson has just introduced Sam Cooke to the younger generation. This song lives on some 47 years later through this lovely young lady.

X Factor 2010 Audition 'Change Gonna Come'

After waiting along with other hopefuls, giving a few reporters a glimpse of her amazing talent and receiving a wonderful compliment on her well put together outfit by one of the XFactor staff, Rebecca finally made her way into the ITV studios. She sat quiet and patiently along with her supportive family and adorable two children (Lilly May and Karl) as she waited for her big chance at "Stardom." However, it was quite visible and evident she was very, very nervous. She even cried during her brief interview before her performance. Her tears filled a mixed bag of emotions as she had come to the conclusion her dream of being a singer had almost passed her by when she became a teenage Mom. As she made her way to the stage, her tears had dried, but it was very apparent she lacked confidence. During her performance as witnessed above, she only looked at the audience and judges a few times. However, her lack of confidence did not mask her tremendous talent. I'm sure when this lil' young lady gets her confidence back on track and she will, she will be a force to be reckon with. In the end, she will shock everyone, (but Simon of course), with her amazing vocal skills. I believe Rebecca is on the path of becoming "XFactor's Next Winner." Please follow this blog so you can keep up with Rebecca's exciting journey as she rises to fame with or without XFactor...

X Factor 2010 Pre-Audition 'Ain't No Mountain High Enough'

Before she even made her way into ITV Studios, Miss Ferguson gave a few reporters a glimpse of her amazing talent with a very raw performance of Marvin Gaye's "Ain't No Mountain High Enough." Of course, she sang the song with so much emotion and feeling, one can feel it right through the computer. Rebecca has a very sultry and smokey voice and a great sense of style, which is obvious giving her choice of attire was perfectly suited for the material she choose to sing on her big day. I'm posting this audition piece because in my opinion, this is truly the beginning of her XFactor journey.
