From the moment I came across Rebecca Ferguson on Youtube (September 24, 2010), I was captivated. Her demure presence, shy and delicate personality somehow lite my computer on "fire" and I was immediately inspired. With my love for music, popular culture, research, and writing, I kicked in high gear and began creating this blog. The day I started, Rebecca had 275 Facebook fans. Now she has over 12, 000 and counting, which of course thrills me! My goal is to have the ability to keep up with her every move so I can create a home for her fans to read all the latest info, check out current videos and all the lil' tidbits I can get my hands on. Really, I just want us all to celebrate this "Great Talent" the World will come to enjoy and admire. This young woman is truly a gift to the Universe. She has a smooth, silky and sultry voice like the Greats before her. To name a few, I give you Nina Simone, Elle Fitzgerald, Sarah Vaughn, Dee Dee Bridgewater and Carmen McCrae. The list really is rounded to about 50 and I think The X Factor has discovered the 51st. Of course, she could be molded to be the next "Big Pop Star." However, my dream is she stays just the way she is. Swagger like no other!
