"Rebecca Ferguson's Talent Is No Secret"

WIKILEAKS can tell us what’s going on with Afghanistan but they still can’t tell us whether Cher got less votes than Mary in The X Factor or whether Duh’mot O’Leary really IS a dummy from a shop window.
Saturday’s part one of the final showcased two thrilling young artists with genuine stage presence, mystery and voices to take your breath away.
Still, enough about Rihanna and Christina Aguilera.
If the judges didn’t have to go through the charade of supporting the acts they’ve ‘mentored’, it’s pretty obvious they would have all voted for the only one with star potential: Rebecca.

"Sarah Louise English In Her Own Words"

From the moment Rebecca Ferguson came onto my screen on X-Factor 2010, I was totally captivated.  She strode out in simple black with pearls evoking a look of Audrey Hepburn in her heyday.  Her beauty and grace won over the judges in an instant.  Her voice perfectly complimented her style and image.  With each passing week Rebecca has flourished and found her own feet in what can be a contrived, manufactured world. I must confessed to being slightly biased when it comes to Rebecca as we live just miles apart in the same city and come from similar socio-economic backgrounds.  Rebecca is an aspirational figure, not just for young ladies of Liverpool, but for women everywhere. She has an old school charm that is so attractive do different ages, sexes and backgrounds.  Her good grace and manners are a rarity in such a cut-throat competition and her lack of self confidence serves only to have more swoon at her feet. I have took a real personal interest in Rebecca's style throughout the competition. The stylists on the show have played to her strengths and kept a retro theme throughout.  Long, fitted dresses and stylish up-do's have kept her streets ahead of the androgynous look favoured by Cher and the English eccentricity of Katie.  Her off screen style is so quaint and pretty (lace and velvet Victoriana with pretty cream opaque's!), you cannot help but be drawn in.

Liverpool girls are notoriously stylish and Rebecca is an ideal ambassador for them.  Take a stroll through the city centre and you will find girls of all shapes and sizes rocking fashions that set them apart from the monotony and repetition of cheap chain stores.  High end labels and Topshop are mixed with vintage pieces and handmade garments to produce a look that you wont find anywhere else in the country.

I sell and publicise Gingerbread Vintage via Facebook and fairs in Liverpool.  Last week I announced on Facebook that if Rebecca wins (or even if she doesn't!) I would very much like to gift her an item from my shop.  Why? Rebecca completely embodies everything that Gingerbread Vintage stands for.  We want women to be timeless, strong, graceful and empowered.  Rebecca is the design aesthetic we dream of.

Whatever happens in the X Factor final, we have truly found a gem in Rebecca and wish her every luck in the future!!

On a side note: At this point, we all know the outcome of Rebecca's fate on the X Factor  and although Rebecca did not win the crown, she won over many designers whom simply love her. Gingerbread Vintage is no exception. Therefore, it looks like Rebecca needs to head over to Gingerbread Vintage and collect her prize.

Gingerbread Vintage is a delightful shop and since Christmas is around the corner, its time to find that special gift for the special ones on your list. Please check out at their Facebook page by clicking he link below. I simply love the  company photo above. Every time I look at it, I instantly think of Brigitte Bardot. Such a beautiful woman!!

Please Note: I originally misspelled Brigtitte's name as I used the American version rather than the French. Therefore, I stand corrected.

'Claudia Pink's Surprise for Rebecca Ferguson Fansite Fans"

Since the show is coming to an end, I found it only fitting to revisit the wonderful Claudia Pink. Claudia is the jewelry designer who designed the now famous horse ring worn by Rebecca. I'm sure by the uproar the ring caused, many of you remember Rebecca wearing the "amazing" ring during the reveal show. The ring caught my eye as well So I took a freeze framed picture and posted it on Rebecca's Facebook fan page. Within minutes, fans went bananas and many wanted to know where the ring came from. Luckily, I had first hand information from one of Rebecca's mates, which I also posted on the Facebook fan page. Of course, with all the commotion the ring caused, many Liverpool jewelry designers came forth claiming the ring as their own design, but Liverpool Echo got word of the uproar and found Claudia Pink to be the rightful designer (article below).

For Claudia Pink the timing was perfect because all the fuss lead to an opportunity when she was asked by The X Factor style team to send over a few of her pieces. The team picked many of Claudia's amazing designs throughout the show, which were worn by Cher, Katie, Trey and Rebecca. However, it was the ever so stylish Rebecca whom the designer felt suited her jewelry perfectly. Many designers in the UK are eager for Rebecca to wear their designs because of her beauty and great sense of style. However, luckily for Claudia Pink, she just so happens to be a jewelry designer in Liverpool who's fantastic designs caught Rebecca's eye long before Rebecca was an X Factor contestant.

As I mentioned in a previous post, Claudia Pink is a gem of a shop and the perfect place to find special and unique Xmas gifts or gifts for anytime of the year for that matter.  I've included the link below so why not take a tour of the website. I'm sure many of you will find amazing little jewelry masterpieces to fall in love with just like Rebecca did when she found the "magnificent" horse ring. Also, as a nice surprise for the fans, Claudia Pink has offered to provide the Rebecca Ferguson Fan Site with a very "special" piece of jewelry worn by Rebecca. Therefore, please keep checking in to find out when the contest will happen. Don't miss out on the opportunity to win a very "special" piece of jewelry designed by Claudia Pink and worn by Rebecca Ferguson. It could very well turn out to be the now" famous" horse ring.
