"Rebecca Ferguson's Talent Is No Secret"

WIKILEAKS can tell us what’s going on with Afghanistan but they still can’t tell us whether Cher got less votes than Mary in The X Factor or whether Duh’mot O’Leary really IS a dummy from a shop window.
Saturday’s part one of the final showcased two thrilling young artists with genuine stage presence, mystery and voices to take your breath away.
Still, enough about Rihanna and Christina Aguilera.
If the judges didn’t have to go through the charade of supporting the acts they’ve ‘mentored’, it’s pretty obvious they would have all voted for the only one with star potential: Rebecca.

  1. Nice report, but the allusion to Christina Aguilera is a bit too slick. I thought Christina over-sung her part quite atrociously. She had been booked to give a boost to some poor little karaoke singer, she thought, and found herself partnering a tall, utterly beautiful woman with the voice and the style of an established superstar. If you had just come down with the last shower and you saw Rebecca and Christina on the television together you would never have thought, not for one thousandth of a second, that Christina was the star and Rebecca the junior partner.

Rebecca Ferguson is quite simply the greatest and most unique "quality pop" singer we have had in the UK: more warmth than Dusty; more charisma than Adele, and so on. On the world scene she is in the top group, alongside Aretha, Sade, Billie, Dionne, even Edith, and so on; some as good as Rebecca, but none better.

Now it's up to Rebecca's fans and her fan-site to really support her, really keep up with events, be real fans and a real fan-site.

    Go Rebecca!

  2. Rebecca has been booked to sing at an important rugby union game today, 17 December, at Twickenham, London. Serious Rebecca fans might consider becoming instant rugby fans...

Jamie Archer is also booked. Now he REALLY does need the exposure!

  3. Me again. Sorry about the date error. I have chastised my source...

But there's nothing wrong with this, one of the best tracks by a female singer I have ever heard. Some as good, certainly, but absolutely none better. If this was brought out as a single it would go straight through the top of the charts:

    Enjoy...
