Live Show Semi-Finals Week 9 'Amazing Grace'

Live Show Semi-Finals Week 9 'Show Me Love'

"Rebecca Getting Camera Ready"

Rebecca sits calmly while getting ready to get her makeup done for her semi-final performances. She looks happy and a bit nervous too. I'm sure its fun, but a bit taxing to perform knowing millions are watching, judging and voting.

On a Side Note: Of course, considering makeup artistry is my profession, I would love to be in the makeup artist shoes to get my shot at working on this beautiful girl. Who knows what the future may hold. Fingers crossed. lol!!

"Rebecca's Voice Moves My Soul"

"Blogger Comment"

"Fan Comment on the Mirror Blog"

Jonh's comments are so wild, so wide of the mark, so destined to chock rather than present observation and fact that they deserve no more rebuttal than that.

I'm 62 years old, and song made an impact on me long before I went to school. I grew up, as we all do, so it's true to say that for the past 52 years I have been passionate about song My passion was saved when I accepted that I would never be a singer...

Rebecca is one of a dozen or so really impressive female singers, all genres lumped together, whom I can "play back in my head". No MP3, no stereo, nothing but the memory of a fantastic voice, a fantastic ability to demolish songs and put them back together her way, so many aspects of Rebecca's singing to engrave in my memory and recall at my leisure.

Just wait and see what will come of Rebecca's career when the respected songwriters who want to work with her, and the inspired songwriter that Rebecca herself is, will have provided her songs, for her alone to sing. She will do better than Dionne Warwick, who only had the Bacharach and David writing for her until the Gibbs came along. Aretha Franklin has had precious few songs written with only her in mind. (Let us think about Aretha for a few moments, and hope her health recovers.)

I could easily write far more than anyone would be able to bear to read about Rebecca and where she is headed. Puerile, "smart" slogans and catch-phrases intended to belittle Rebecca Ferguson only belittle their authors. A great star has been revealed, and if you understand music in general and song in particular, whatever your personal tastes, you are witnessing something really special.

Rebecca Ferguson will not leave the building for a very long time.

"Semi-Final Song Choices"

The theme for the show today will be club classics. Rebecca will be singing a dance number called 'Show Me Love' and her second song will be 'Amazing Grace.' It looks like its about to be a powerhouse weekend for Rebecca. I'm sure once she belts out 'Amazing Grace', she will have cemented in her place in the finals. Only time will tell and for me since I'm in the US, that time will be around 12 hours from now, which I'm patiently waiting for.

"Steal Rebecca Ferguson’s XFactor Style"

Rebecca Ferguson on the Xfactor wearing a leopard dress and a black sequin dress
Not only does X Factor 2010's Rebecca Ferguson sound amazing every week, she also has a wardrobe to die for too – some people have all the luck! Not content with one show-stopping outfit, this week Rebecca wowed in two designer creations. First up, a ladylike leopard-print number courtesy of Roberto Cavalli, which she teamed with skyscraper Louboutin heels – if only we could borrow that outfit for our Saturday night too! For Rebecca’s second performance, she donned a black sequined mini-dress by British designer Gareth Pugh. Rebecca has kept those pins under wraps for the past few weeks, but it’s a wonder why with legs like this!

"Did Rebecca Almost Quit XFactor?"

The single mum-of-two revealed she couldn't stand being parted from little Lillie May, five, and Karl, four, at a secret gig held by TalkTalk this week.
She was snapped in tears outside the X Factor studio after last Sunday's show was filmed.
Rebecca told the crowd: "I've been missing my kids. It has been a big sacrifice for me being here away from the kids.
"I've missed their birthdays, I've missed their first days of school. I actually found myself thinking, 'Is it going to be worth it?' I got a bit unsure about it."
But the 24-year-old from Liverpool insisted she is now focused on the competition, adding: "It just made me more determined to go out on Saturday and give it my all.
