  1. It's a track that will haunt its author until Hell freezes over: he hired Rebecca as a session singer, and did not give her a contract as a recording artiste. In thirty years he will be pushing a supermarket trolley full of Matt Cardle albums salvaged from land-fill sites, muttering to the gulls and the pigeons "I could have been a contender..."

  2. Here’s the thing - do yourself a favour and listen to this at least 5 times and see if you agree with me……1st play - a few little mistakes and slightly dodgy bits, but it’s a pretty good song…..2nd play - this would be an amazing track to be professionally recorded, and it really should be ….3rd Play - mmmm, this is real nice actually, let me follow the story of the lyrics here……4th play - I just can’t follow the “story” with getting so lost in her voice and drifting away with it…..5th Play - this is just absolutely beautiful, still can’t follow the lyrics, I have to listen to this again ! ……..now you understand a little bit of what makes Rebecca Ferguson so special - true perfection has to be imperfect (as they say) ….it’s hard to imagine how good her professionally produced album will be, when her “amateur” material is this good…..there is no possibility whatsoever, that she will just be successful - this girl has a date with destiny, to become a legend in her own lifetime. 3. Ooh thanks for posting this! It's lovely to hear Rebecca sing a full length song and not one we've heard on X Factor.

  4. Love the comment by ThatOne. Hilarious. Absolutely totally agree with everything Keith G has said. You see, I didn't really take much notice of Rebecca when I first her audition song. The second time I heard her made me wonder why the hell I hadn't noticed her before. I then went on a mad crusade to find out everything I could about her music. She just creeps up on you, you just have to have her on replay over and over and over. Then she hit me like a SLEDGEHAMMER. WOW. I have not been able to get her out of my head and like each song more on each play. She is such an intelligent artist, knowing exactly which button to press on each lyric for every song. How can she be so subtle with it??

  6. yeah, you really have to wonder about the music industry, when this kind of talent gets passed over time and again - at the expense of some of the cr*p we get fed ! - however, everything happens for a reason.... you couldn't really wish for a better start to a career when your debut is eagerly awaited by millions ...this is definitely her time, and then some :)
