X Factor finalist Rebecca Ferguson has secured a deal with a major record label.
The Liverpudlian singer is reported to have agreed terms of a joint venture between with Simon Cowell's label Syco and Epic Records.
If true, Rebecca will join Britney Spears and Kings Of Leon on the label.
A source told The Sun that Ferguson is currently looking for original material for her debut album.
An insider told the newspaper that she is looking to create "soul songs similar to the sound of Duffy or Corinne Bailey Rae".
Rebecca recently hit the headlines when it was claimed that Hollywood star Colin Farrell was "smitten" with her.
A source told the Daily Star: "He's planning to woo Rebecca any way he can. He's single now and out for some fun."

ReplyDeleteRebecca is signed to Modest Management, probably the best British management outfit. their thumbnail of Rebecca says she will be recording for, wait for it, "Syco/Epic". So Simon HAS kept a direct financial interest in our beautiful Rebecca.
Ooops! Maybe I should have said "two financial interests", since the guys running Modest are two old buddies of Simon when BMG was born, and it takes little imagination to believe the hints that Simon has a direct role in Modest. I never thought I would write "Simon" and "Modest" in the same sentence...
Final choice tit-bit: The list of Modest acts includes Gamu Nhengu. Oh, Simon, be a bit more discreet!
